We are looking for:

A new team member for one of our portfolio companies.

What will keep you challenged?

  • Owning your projects and and move them ahead in its full lifecycle: design, implementation, testing and deployment
  • Running, maintaining, and designing new services that live inside a big Golang monorepo
  • Working on a high performance system that equally uses RPC and an event-bus paradigm to serve thousands of concurrent requests
  • Interact with Google Cloud Platform infrastructure that re-uses a huge part of the Google ecosystem: e.g. BigQuery, Pub/Sub, AppEngine, Kubernetes, BigTable
  • Confidently switching between in-memory storage (redis), traditional RDBMS systems (mysql) and columnar storage systems (Datastore/Bigtable)
  • Working in a collaborative environment and finding solutions to business challenges with team members from other departments such as Data Science, Business Intelligence or Product

Which traits contribute to your success?

  • Owning your projects and and move them ahead in its full lifecycle: design, implementation, testing and deployment
  • Great practical knowledge of Golang and at least one other relevant backend programming language 
  • Significant experience working on high performance distributed systems
  • Ability to choose a database technology (SQL or NoSQL) that is not based exclusively on technological fads
  • Understanding that tracing, profiling and measuring things is a better approach than just guessing
  • Valuing coding as your craft and can understand that writing software is about solving technical problems, and it is equally important to be understood by your peers
  • Being proactive and curious, always eager to learn new things, and happy to share your knowledge with others
  • Professional proficiency in English
